Preparation

Research the company thoroughly. Know the company and culture and make sure it’s right for you. Get a feel for their business and understand exactly what they do through their website, marketing materials, company blogs and social media.

Job Specifications

Ensure you know the salary and package on offer so it matches your expectations. Be upfront to your consultant at the outset.

What are the company’s Learning and Development Programmes and do the opportunities for long term progression match your own?

Is the location and distance to work right for you? Make sure you are clear on parking options or access to public transport.

Believe

Prepare and deliver your research and knowledge on the company as if you have really thought about yourself in this role. How would you settle in and manage the first 6 weeks to 3 months? Ask questions to ensure the role is right for you.
